Francesca Centioni Photographic Artist www.francescacentioni.co.uk Francesca grew up in Kent surrounded by plants, fields and rivers. She was introduced to photography at an early age when her father bought her a camera for her eighth birthday. Combining her interest in nature and imaginative exploration, she began taking photographs and later went on to study photography at Camberwell College of the Arts in London where she graduated in 2007. Identity, childhood, nature and emotions are some of the subjects which influence her work. Francesca has recently undertaken a number of exhibitions and commissions, her current work is inspired by the vocabulary of nature, and often displays a borderline between fiction and reality. She explores the boundaries of perception through memory and the experience. These experiences are loaded with emotions and influences, which place these images in a constant state of flux. "I sought to engage with these moments, but also with their past events and possibilities. The work also acts as a reminder of fragmented memories and narratives of what was, and of what should have been."
